Peter H. Hames
RESUME' |
Mr. Hames left Texaco Marine Services
in 1995 as a ship management professional with 30 years of progressive and diversified
corporate experience including engineering, administration, marketing and internal quality
consulting. The last five years at Texaco, he was Director of Quality. He
designed and implemented a Total Quality Improvement Process in their worldwide fleet of
tankers. Mr. Hames is a certified facilitator for five Total Quality Management
classes and an examiner for Texaco's internal Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
He was also selected to be an examiner for the Texas Quality Award for 1995-96. |
Mr. Hames is a Registered Lead
Auditor with the International Registry of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) and a subcontract
auditor for an ISOQAR, Inc. ISO 9001 registrar. |
Mr. Hames is a 1965 graduate of the
United States Merchant Marine Academy. He sailed with Texaco as Marine
Engineer and served in the US Naval Reserve. He was a Port Engineer, Superintendent
of Maintenance and Repair for Texaco's US Fleet, and held a number of other positions with
Texaco prior to becoming Director of Quality. |
In 1976 he earned a Master of
Business Administration Degree from Adelphi University. He is a member of the
American Society for Quality and the Propeller Club. |
